With over two decades in the beauty industry, Melissa has earned a reputation for her hands-on expertise, celebrity clientele, and unwavering commitment to clean, effective, and handcrafted solutions.

Melissa’s journey began in 1999 in Jacksonville, Florida, and took root in Atlanta in 2005. After a diagnosis of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in 2009, she pivoted fully into specializing in loc care—a decision that changed her life and the lives of her three children. In 2011, driven by her clients’ needs and her own experience with product buildup and scalp irritation, Melissa created Loc Em Up Products using the finest herbs, oils, and natural ingredients.
